Fintech / Digital Wallet
Akkabank
A digital wallet that makes money feel calm, not chaotic.

Overview
A full-featured digital banking and wallet app covering transfers, card management and spending insights, built for everyday clarity rather than spreadsheet-style banking.
Problem
Most budget banking apps bury essential actions under three taps and present raw transaction lists instead of a clear read on where money is going. Users wanted speed for the daily tasks (send, top up, check balance) and clarity for the monthly ones (where did it go).
Solution
We split the app around two rhythms: a daily home screen built entirely around the next likely action, and a separate insights space for the monthly review, so neither job crowds the other out.
Outcome
Delivered a production-ready wallet app with a cold-start time under a second and a design system reused across three later fintech engagements.
Key features
Instant peer-to-peer transfers with saved beneficiaries
Virtual card issuing with freeze / unfreeze controls
Spending breakdown by category with monthly trends
Biometric authentication and transaction PINs
Real-time push notifications for every transaction
Design process
Wireframes started from the transaction list, not the dashboard, since that's the screen used most often. Figma prototypes tested a card-based balance view against a ledger view with five users before settling on cards with an expandable ledger underneath.
Development process
Built in Flutter with a clean, layered architecture (data / domain / presentation) so the transfer and card modules could be tested independently. Firebase handles auth and realtime sync, with SQLite caching recent transactions for instant cold-start loads.
