Habit Building / Gamification
LifeQuest
Turns a to-do list into a character sheet.

Overview
A gamified habit and goal tracker where daily routines level up a personal avatar, built to make consistency feel rewarding rather than obligatory.
Problem
Habit trackers are easy to abandon once the novelty fades because the only reward is an empty checkbox. The goal was a reward loop strong enough to carry motivation on low-willpower days.
Solution
We modelled the whole app as a light RPG: habits become quests, consistency becomes XP, and a skill tree gives long-term direction so the app rewards both daily action and long-term identity.
Outcome
Delivered a distinctive habit app with a full XP/leveling system and skill tree, positioned to stand out in a category crowded with plain checklists.
Key features
Daily quests generated from user-defined habits and goals
XP, levels and unlockable avatar cosmetics
Streak-protecting 'quest skip' tokens for busy days
Visual skill tree mapping habits to life areas
Weekly recap with XP earned and habits completed
Design process
Interface leans into violet and deep-space gradients with a game-like type scale, while keeping actual data entry (adding a habit) as plain and fast as any productivity app.
Development process
Flutter with a rules engine for XP and streak logic kept fully client-testable, SQLite for offline quest state, and Firebase for account sync across devices.
